Background

Greg joined ONCAP in 2000 as one of the founding members of the firm. During his time at ONCAP, Greg has been involved in all aspects of the investment process from sourcing new opportunities, building businesses in collaboration with operating management teams, and exiting investments. Prior to taking on the role of Senior Advisor, Greg was Managing Partner and Co-Head of ONCAP where he had oversight responsibilities for ONCAP’s operations, including investment decision-making, team development, relationship with Onex and limited partner investors. Greg currently sits on a number of the operating company Boards of Directors in the industrial, services and consumer sectors. Previously, he was with Scotia Capital Markets in the Investment Banking business unit in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

Education

Greg holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.

Areas of Focus

As a Senior Advisor, Greg will be providing mentorship and advice to the ONCAP organization. Specifically, he will provide advice on investment decision making, will participate with value creation by supporting operating companies, and will assist the ONCAP team on efforts to invest in new opportunities for ONCAP.

Greg's favourite season is winter, as he is a keen participant in various winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding.
