ONCAP considers investment opportunities in a wide range of industry sectors that include many of  the following characteristics (all amounts in US$):

  • Headquartered in North America
  • Target enterprise value: $50-$500 million
  • Target equity investment: $50-200 million
  • EBITDA: in excess of $10 million
  • Significant ownership position (including minority investment)
  • Management team interested in ownership stake
  • Strong, sustainable free cash flow 
  • Market leadership in fragmented industries

ONCAP invests in companies that offer meaningful organic and add-on acquisition growth opportunities. These investment opportunities are typically event driven and include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete or partial sale of a closely held private company
  • Sale of non-core asset by a larger corporate owner
  • Company seeking equity capital to pursue key strategic initiatives
  • Public company undertaking a going private transaction
