ONCAP acquired Precision Concepts (formerly “IntraPac”) in December 2017.

Business Description

Headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina, Precision Concepts is a designer and manufacturer of specialty consumer packaging solutions including sticks, jars, vials, closures, spouts, bottles, and tubes. The Company serves a diversified customer base across the personal care, household, food and beverage, and nutraceutical end markets. It operates nine manufacturing facilities across the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica and employs ~1,100 people.

Accomplishment and Outcome

ONCAP identified Precision Concepts as a platform with resilient, non-cyclical demand fundamentals, niche market leadership, and meaningful white space for organic and acquisitive growth—well-aligned with ONCAP’s sub-sector focus and investment strategy. Precision Concepts also had strong diversification across several metrics (customers, facilities, end market, manufacturing process, supplier, etc.), entrenched customer relationships, an entrepreneurial management team, and organic and acquisition growth opportunities related to the entrance into new product categories, geographic expansion and added depth in existing product categories.

Under ONCAP’s ownership, Precision Concepts underwent a broad operational transformation. The Company consolidated facilities, expanded manufacturing capacity through multi-year capital investments, launched new product lines, improved procurement and working capital practices to strengthen cash flow, built a high-value medical device business that was accretively divested in 2023, and completed six strategic acquisitions that broadened its geographic reach and customer base.

Precision Concepts exemplifies ONCAP’s investment strategy of partnering with best-in-class entrepreneurial leadership teams and executing targeted value creation initiatives within sectors where ONCAP has deep conviction and knowledge.

In July 2025, ONCAP sold a majority stake in Precision Concepts to a financial sponsor while retaining a meaningful minority position. This continued partnership underscores ONCAP’s conviction in the Company’s long-term trajectory and its commitment to supporting Precision Concepts through its next phase of growth.
